By car
From the Stuttgarter Kreuz, where A8 and A81 meet, take the A 831 towards Stuttgart-Vaihingen. Exit at “Universität” and turn to the left. Follow the “Universitätsstrasse” for 300m, take the third junction to the right (“Pfaffenwaldring”). Beware: 50m after the exit from the Autobahn, there is already a junction where you can go into “Pfaffenwaldring”. Do not take this! After 50m, turn left into the Allmandring, then take the next turn to the left onto the parking area of ICP.
By train
Go to Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof. From there, take the S-Bahn S1 (direction Herrenberg), S2 (direction Filderstadt) or S3 (direction Flughafen/Messe). After 10 minutes, leave at the underground station “Universität”. From there, follow the directions below.
When you buy a train ticket, tell the agent to issue the train ticket to “Stuttgart Universität” and you will save the two-zone fare from the main station to the university (about € 2.00). The taxi fare from the station to the university is about € 20.00.
From station “Stuttgart Universität” to ICP
Leave the station at either exit and follow the map to ICP. If you leave the station in the direction of the university center (where there are elevators and escalators), you will pass under one of the big buildings and over two bridges. If you leave on the other side, you end up at a bus stop near the road. Pass along the road, with the two big white buildings on your right, and turn right at the next street. Follow this street until you see the two bridges, then turn left and climb the stairs next to the bent bridge. Right in front of you is the ICP.
The ICP is on the 1st floor of the building in Allmandring 3, so enter the building and go up one flight of stairs. On top of the stairs, pass through the white door on your right and enter the ICP.
By plane
After arrival at Stuttgart International Airport STR either take a taxi (about EUR 15.00) or take the commuter train/S-Bahn S2 (direction Schorndorf) or S3 (direction Backnang), which costs less than 3€. After a train ride of about 10 minutes, leave at the underground station “Universität”. From there, follow the directions below.
