Ferrofluid monolayers: bidisperse particles

In the case of bidisperse particles we have two different kind of particles that differ in their size, and therefore in the strength of the magnetic interaction. We are studying the dependence of the microstructure of clusters in a monolayer on the relative size as well as ratio of concentrations of small and large particles in the system. The possible existence of Poissoning and anti-poissoning effects in those systems are under investigation. A comparison of theoretical and numerical results against experimental results is also object of current research.
