In this talk a general introduction to the theory of polymers and gels should be given. Starting with the idea of what polymers are, one should present simple models for polymers such as RW, SAW and simulation methods to study them. In this talk a general introduction to the theory of polymers and gels should be given. Starting with the idea of what polymers are, one should present simple models for polymers such as RW, SAW and simulation methods to study them. Other theories to be presented include the deGennes scaling concepts and blob approach.

Literature
