Lattice-Boltzmann-Simulations on GPUs
I am writing my diploma theses about Lattice-Boltzman theory (D3Q19) for simulating particles within a thermal solvent with usage of several boundary conditions. For this reason the use of the multiple-relaxation-time lattice Boltzmann model is required to include thermal fluctuations. On a first step which has already been achieved I have developed an fluid solver with thermal fluctuations on the GPU. The next step which is in progress I am adding the interaction with particles (Ahlrichs and Duennweg) within the fluid. The interaction between the fluid and the particles are negotiated via a force. The finally step will be the implementation of my stand alone code within ESPRESSO where the existing md code calculates the particle movement on the cpu while my code calculates the solvent on the gpu.
